Day 5 & 6

Back from Wubei, Lulin.
This weekend trip was enjoyable, other then the injuries JunRu & i had.
On Saturday morning, we headed up to Wubei by bus which took us about 4 hours. The journey was very jerky and i felt as if i was on a roller coaster. Despite the road up to the mountain was narrow, the driver still sped and our butts practically flew out of the seats. But it was fun at the same time, as we treated that experienced like we were on a F1 Race Car. haha
Had lunch and then we went for Rafting.
JunRu was my partner and we boarded up on one of the boat. For the first 10 minutes of the rafting, it was pretty fun as the current swept us down, but disastrous came after that. Both JunRu and i was feeling very uncomfortable at our lower abdomen and initially i thought that the water was dirty.
After asking others about it, none of them felt uncomfortable, and both of us came to a conclusion that we were attacked by water-bond insects (only for our boat). We then continued our journey as we had about 2 more hours of rafting. My body was itch and at the same time hurting badly. I then decided to look at my ankle which was more convenient for me, and i realised there were many thorns on the area of my ankle where it was swollen, itch and also where i feel the prickles of pain. The thorns were very fine and it seems that it was from a plant. It just hurt so badly. Junru had minor of it too.
We suffered badly, however we
persevered and continued to raft till the end. By the time we finished rafting, some of the thorns had already entered into my body and i'm unable to take it out. Blisters have also appeared in both of my hands due to the tedious rafting.
After which, we continued our activites, and went to look at the man-made water falls.
The scenic view really fascinates me, and i have
no regrets going through the long walk despite my injuries.
We then headed to have dinner before we bunk into our hotel at the LuLin Shan, which was our first hotel stay for this trip. The hotel was pretty comfortable and that's how i ended my first weekend for the trip.
On Sunday,
We woke up at 7am and get ourselves prepared for breakfast before we continued our journey. We went for trekking, and it was definitely fun, up in the mountain. The sun was shining brightly, but at the same time, the cold wind was blowing strongly on our face.
We visited the man-made areas of the ancient warfare and i even got the chance to ride on a horse, which i have been wanting to for the past few months. The horse did not stroll, but literally run. My feeling was undesirable for that moment. I want more horse ride!
After trekking, we headed back to Wuhan which took us about 6 hours.
Reached WUST in the evening and had free-and-easy. Dined at WUST Canteen 2 and the food was very spicy. The food here are either
flooded with chilli, if not too oily. Can't really find much healthy food over here. Exercise after dinner...
Headed out to stroll after dinner hoping there were more street stalls out there as it is a weekend.
& Hostel sweet HOSTEL :D
Tomorrow is gonna be our first day in school in WUST. :D

Reflection- From this weekend tour in LuLin, i've learn to Persever.
When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on. I have a choice to stop rafting and just pray that the current would bring us to the end of the route, but i know that i can do much better than this. Never let the obstacle get into my way to success. No regrets... :)
